My Approaches to Therapy

I am trained in a range of various therapeutic interventions and counselling techniques, which can be adjusted and combined depending on your wants and needs. Listed below are the types of therapies I can offer.

Psychoanalytic/Psychodynamic Therapy - This looks at potential past trauma and ways of identifying possible emotional triggers.

Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT) - This concentrates on your presenting feelings, thoughts and behaviours, and looks to realistically modify these to achieve your personal set goals.

Solution-Focused Therapy (SFP) - This approach is rather similar to CBT, although places emphasis on your future goals and aspirations with a desirable outcome for therapy in mind.

Person-Centred Therapy (PCT) - This concentrates on your presenting feelings and emotions, which is a particularly more client-led process where the pace of therapy is decided by you.

Gestalt Therapy - This intervention is likened to a culmination of the above therapies, however, is more sensory in experience, where your memories, feelings, thoughts and behaviours would be carefully re-experienced in order to better make sense of and overcome them if necessary.
